We got our first official trailer for the Starz series ‘Blood of My Blood’ today, and confirmation that this new prequel series with air this summer of 2025. This is exciting news for Outlander fans, who won’t be completely starved of content while awaiting season 8 of the show.
In this trailer we get our first looks at Jamie and Claire’s parents, and the love stories that took place prior to Jamie and Claire’s time traveling love affair. This is the first time we are embarking on stories being told without source material to draw upon, as few little has been written about Jamie’s parents (Ellen and Brian Fraser) and next to nothing has been shared about Claire’s parents, Henry and Julia.
In this breakdown we get our first glimpse of these characters and insight into how their love stories will play out on screen. Described as “an epic new chapter,” following “two breathtaking love stories who fight against all odds to be together”
The teaser cites that we will watch these two couples “from the battlefields of World War I to the rugged Highlands of 18th century Scotland” where Claire and Jamie’s parents must “defy the forces that seek to tear them apart, intersecting in surprising and unforeseen ways.”
